The item which inspired this report is a novel I purchased in a side street antique collectible store whilst on holiday in Nerja. We typically stay each year in Nerja for our own vacations and we generally stay in some sophisticated Nerja apartments, some classy Nerja villas or perhaps a notable Nerja holiday rental accommodation. The actual artist John William Turner was given birth to in Maiden Lane, Covent Garden, London in 1775. His dad William Turner was a barber and also a high quality wig maker, his mum Mary Marshall grew to become psychologically unsound, probably as a result of loss of Turner’s sister Mary Ann Turner while very young in 1786. He died in the house of his mistress Sophia Caroline Booth in Cheyne Walk, Chelsea upon 19 December 1851. At his own request he was laid to rest in St Paul’s Cathedral, close to Sir Joshua Reynolds. His last exhibition at the Royal Academy had been in 1850. The architect Philip Hardwick (1792-1870) who had been a fantastic buddy of Turner’s and also the son of the Turner’s teacher, Thomas Hardwick, was in overall charge of making his funeral service preparations.
