job? ?
Filed Under Job Hunting | 1 Comment
I’m 16, still in school and would like an after school job. I dont like the ideas of giving up the only free time I have (Saturdays) and I will have no choice but to work next year so im just looking for a job I can do after school to earn a bit of money. So does anybody have any ideas of what I can do? Please don’t say paper round haha I mean an actual job.
Thanks!

Is it safe to quit a healthcare job and expect to be hired somewhere else during this economic crisis?
Filed Under Job Hunting | 4 Comments
Such healthcare jobs like nurses, techs, aids, clerks, billing, coding. I am disliking my job and the people I work with and want to look for a better job but I don’t know if its a good time to quit and try to find another job with this economy. How will I know if I can get another job once I quit? Some advise please.

Should a resume for a teaching position include some graphics/pictures to make it colorful?

I have just graduated and am applying for elementary teaching jobs in Canada. I have seen some bright colorful resumes with pictures as samples? Is this a good idea or should the resume just be text?

My boyfriend just graduated from college with an associates degree in Animating. We’ve been looking online for jobs, and he’s posted his resume on three different sites. But most of the jobs say they’d like 3-5 years of experience. How is he suppose to find a job when no one will hire him so he could gain some experience? He graduated at the top of his class and is very creative. Any advice?

I would love to travel for a job when I’m older, whats a job that isn’t too hard to get into that involves getting to travel around the world, that isn’t a flight attendant or a pilot etc.
I ‘finished high school yet and i live in Melbourne Australia
Also it would be better if the job involves the flights etc being paid for by whoever i work for.
Thanks!

How do I get a real job with a four year gap with no professional experience?
Filed Under Job Hunting | 5 Comments
I graduated from college four years ago, and have been unable to get a real job since then. I’ve been working unskilled jobs to get by, via a temp agency. Now, I’m at the point where I’m broke, and have to get a permenant job NOW. Most likely, it’ll be an unskilled job in a supermarket or something.
I graduated in the top ten percent of my class, and have outstanding skills; however, I have Ausberger’s Syndrome, and the “social” aspect of the job search has killed me. Four years have now gone by, and I have no professional experience.
Do I still have a chance with employers?

How can someone get a job in a different city from where they live?
Filed Under Job Hunting | 2 Comments
I am interested in changing locations across country. I have been looking at changing careers. I currently have a good job, with excellent benefits but would have to give that up if I moved across country. How can I get a job across country so that I can move? Most of the jobs I have seen are with temp agencies and they will not even talk to anyone who does not live where the job is regardless of experience.
